The Bloggers Association of Kenya(BAKE) officially announced the launch of BAKE awards 2021 with the submission phase of the competition starting today 14th of September 2021.
This announcement comes after it was unfortunately postponed last year due to the COVID-19 pandemic and ended up not taking place.
Since 2012, the BAKE Awards organized by the Bloggers Association of Kenya has recognized and awarded exceptional Kenyan bloggers in different categories every year.
In the statement on a post by Kennedy Kachwaya, he stated and I quote:
The BAKE Awards 2021 will begin today, September 14th 2021, where we will accept submissions in the various categories. Thereafter judges will decide the best 5 nominees from the submitted blogs and then they will be voted for by the public. Thereafter, the winners will be awarded at a virtual gala event in December.
BAKE Awards 2021 Timeline
The timeline this year will be as follows:
- Submissions phase –14th September – 20th October 2021
- Judging phase – 21st October -1st November 2021
- Online voting – 2nd November – 10th December 2021
- Virtual Winners’ Gala event – 17th December 2021
This is an opportunity for bloggers in any category to get awarded for their work. This year, submissions will be accepted in 23 different categories therefore bloggers in any of the listed niches can be able to submit.
Moreover, for new blogs/podcasts/vlogs (blogs/podcasts/vlogs set up in January 2019 onward) which can be submitted in the New Blog category and in another category in which they fit.
